Spectrum Courses recommends annual safeguarding refresher training for all home-to-school drivers and passenger assistants, in line with DfE best practice and local authority expectations.

Our refresher courses are accredited, certificated and reflect new statutory guidance.

Statutory Guidance: Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) — while mainly for schools, this document strongly influences Local Authority expectations. It recommends regular safeguarding training with annual updates.

Working Together to Safeguard Children — calls for continuous professional development, especially for those with regular contact with children.

Local authorities often require annual safeguarding refreshers for home-to-school drivers and escorts.

Company accounts (known as Group accounts) offer operators an excellent online toolkit to see progress and view certificates of all their trainees.

Please email contact@spectrumcourses.co.uk with your company’s name, address, telephone number and the Local Authorities you work for.
